I am an empathic and friendly Counsellor and I believe that the key to success in Counselling lies within the relationship between the Client and the Counsellor.
I am an Integrative Counsellor, which means that I have the ability to draw on a variety of methods and techniques to find what suits you best. Enabling the sessions to be led by you, giving you the best opportunity to grow and develop during the Counselling process.
I base my approach on the Here and Now, which means looking at what is happening for you in the present day whilst also paying close attention to attachment and unfinished cycles from the past.
Depending on the client's needs and wishes I also like to incorporate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to enable you to better understand yourself and what works for you.
I offer long and short term counselling depending on what you feel you would like, this can be reviewed at any point in the Counselling process.
I specialise in Anxiety and Depression and have a wider knowledge in Mental Health, having previously worked as a Mental Health Support worker and trained as a Mental Health Nurse before switching to a Counselling degree.
However, this does not mean I only see clients with mental health difficulties, my door is open to everyone.
