I am a qualified Gestalt Psychotherapist, Integrative Counsellor and Supervisor.
I have over nine years of experience in various settings including schools, charities, and private practice, working with young people (10+) and adults (individuals, couples, and groups).
I offer regular weekly sessions, working with individuals or couples on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period (with a minimum of 8 sessions for short-term work).
I work relationally, offering a confidential, safe, non-judgemental space to explore difficult feelings and understand underlying patterns in relationships. We focus on the here and now (what's happening from moment to moment), working in collaboration, at your pace, and where your interest lies. This can help you to see more clearly what your situation is, how you are a part of it, and find new ways to face the difficulty. Through empathic attunement, understanding, meaning-making and co-learning, we can work together towards greater self-understanding, self-acceptance and the freedom to choose the way you want to live your life.
I am experienced in working with clients facing a variety of issues such as anxiety, self-esteem, depression, stress, work-related problems, family and relationship issues, abuse, domestic violence, addiction, trauma, self-harm, anger, and bereavement.
I am registered with UKCP and BACP, and abide by their ethical principles and code of professional conduct. I hold full professional indemnity insurance and an up to date enhanced DBS.
