We can all find ourselves confused and in pain at times. This may be when we are struggling with relationships, we're stuck in repeated patterns of behaviour, or when we are striving to find meaning in life. Psychotherapy can help you gain a better understanding of issues that may be troubling you, through expressing and reflecting on your feelings in a supportive and relational space.
I will aim to explore with you, your difficult emotions and aspects of your past and present that maybe influencing your current distress. As a psychotherapist in training, I draw upon a range of approaches to suit the uniqueness of each client. Working together, with curiosity and compassion and without judgment, we can get closer to who you are, rather than focus on what you (and perhaps others) feel may be wrong with you. This process may be hard at times, and it will take time for trust to build between us. Through this evolving therapeutic relationship and with your growing self-awareness and self-acceptance, we can explore how you may be able to approach life's challenges with greater resilience and with the possibility for change.
My background career is in law. I am currently studying for an MA in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy at Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC). I work with a wide range of issues and welcome all clients. I see clients face-to-face in central Bath and Bristol, and charge £30 per weekly 50-minute session. I adhere to UKCP's ethical principles.
