I teach a whole hearted, holistic approach to yoga as passed down through the Devon School of Yoga. In a holistic yoga practice, your physical, mental & spiritual self-development are nourished through practices of asana (physical postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), kriya (cleansing practices), do-in (self-massage), dhyana (meditation), shavasana and nidra (deep relaxation).
Through the practice of yoga we can begin to connect to the energy (or prana) that moves through everything, eventually aligning ourselves with the natural order of things and finding peace within.
But to start off, yoga teaches us to align our physical body before our mind will follow…and no, you don’t have to be able to touch your toes! My approach to yoga means that all abilities are welcome and able to benefit.
