Sometimes problems in life can become overwhelming, stuck or difficult to manage needing some support to make sense of what's happening. I offer a warm, respectful and supportive space in which you can discuss any issues or problems freely, in confidence and without judgement.
I have extensive experience of working with a range of issues including bereavement and loss, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, sexuality, relationship difficulties, abuse and trauma. I have particular expertise in working with those who are living with cancer and life-threatening illness. I have worked in a range of different settings including the voluntary sector, charities, the NHS and in education working with adults, children and young people.
I work both short and long term using an integrative approach which may explore past and often forgotten aspects of our lives which in turn inform how we live and do life in the present. Being aware of how we think, feel and behave and understanding where this might have begun is helpful when issues arise, become stuck or problematic in the present, thereby facilitating change.
I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor, having trained at Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling.
