Why counselling or psychotherapy? At difficult, challenging or particularly sad times in our lives, we often turn to family or friends for support. However, sometimes those closest to us cannot help, seem part of the problem, or we feel too ashamed to speak out or maybe we feel we might be a burden to those around. We might feel very alone with our problems. Sometimes we have been struggling with difficulties for so long it seems hopeless to try and make a change in our life.
Therapy can offer you the support and space to talk about what is going on and together try and make sense of it all and to see a way through the difficulties. I offer both short and long-term work with adults and couples. I have particular experience and interest in working with young people, finding that early intervention can alleviate later potential problems.
