Counselling can enable you to talk about difficult situations and feelings with a trained practitioner. It is a process that may help with exploring your thoughts and emotions and gaining self-awareness. Knowing ourselves at a deeper level can enable us to make better decisions in life. My approach is humanistic, with a Person Centred influence, and I believe the therapeutic relationship offers the potential for positive change.
I am a qualified counsellor offering competitively priced, short-term or open-ended, one to one counselling for adults in a safe, confidential and supportive space.
I also have a Foundation Course for Awareness in Bereavement Care and attended seminars for Compassion Focussed Therapy and Counselling for Depression. I am committed to my ongoing continuous professional development.
Some of the difficulties I work with include depression; anxiety; stress; losses in life such as loss of a relationship, direction, identity or career; bereavement; low self-confidence / self-esteem; physical and/or mental abuse; panic attacks and life changes.
As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I adhere to their Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.
