'The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.' - Carl Rogers
People come to therapy for many reasons. Whatever is troubling you, and whatever you wish to explore, you are welcome to come for an initial, confidential conversation, and we can get a sense of whether I am the right person to work with you at this time.
My intention is to be present to you with acceptance and authenticity, to welcome the whole of you, and to offer a safe, resourcing, healing space. I draw on a variety of therapeutic approaches, including mindfulness, and am influenced by Buddhist and other contemplative traditions. Through growing in both self-awareness and self-acceptance, new perspectives, perceptions and possibilities often naturally open out.
Practising since 2014, I have experience working with a range of difficulties and life experiences, including depression, low self-esteem, trauma, relationship, addiction, anxiety, loneliness, shame, chronic illness, disability and caring responsibilities. I enjoy working across a wide spectrum of culture, religion, gender, spirituality, sexuality, and world view.
A qualified counsellor, I hold the Diploma in Integrative and Humanistic Counselling from the well regarded Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling. Registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, I abide by their code of conduct and ethics.
I offer an initial no-obligation session for £15. Subsequent sessions are £40 for 50 minutes, with some concessionary spaces.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch with any questions, or for more information.
