Our Story
“I care deeply about the process of putting people at ease, in order that they might come to realise themselves more fully. ”
Angus Landman, founder, The Practice Rooms

The provision of beautiful rooms to help develop and support a thriving and diverse therapeutic initiative
“The Practice Rooms evolved because, as a psychotherapist, I couldn’t find a place like it. A place that had been created with me and my work in mind.”
When The Practice Rooms was created, over twenty years ago, the vision behind it was the desire to put psychotherapists, counsellors, bodyworkers and holistic therapists where we believed they should be – in beautiful rooms in prime, visible locations, in an environment that reflects the serious commitment they make hour after hour to the health and wellbeing of their clients.
And it hasn’t changed.
We believe in taking care of the space, so that you don’t have to. In creating spaces for wellbeing that are working for you and your clients. We believe in spaces that feel comfortable, warm, soft, open, tender, beautiful and easeful. We believe that everyone deserves to step into a space that has been created just for them, to show them how much they matter.
Every single room in all of our centres is designed and furnished by our founder Angus Landman, with beloved pieces of furniture, decor, art and knick knacks, hand chosen by him, and placed in the spaces with care.
The vision he had when we started, is still carried through at every level, in every space we have.
As the company has grown, we have worked tirelessly to offer a quality of service, transparency and reflective practice to ensure all our stakeholders, practitioners and beneficiaries feel part of an intentional, reciprical community with our vision at its heart.

Our Community – a thriving network of peer support and human connection…
Being a therapist can be solitary work. Our core mission at The Practice Rooms is to bring therapists and practitioners together in a way that feels supportive, nourishing and open. As a collective of over 1500 therapists and practitioners, we depend on a shared vision of what matters, and what is important.
Our Partners
We believe that supporting aligned initiatives is part of the field and responsibility of any community oriented organisation.
If you have any thoughts and ideas about local aligned initiatives, particularly subsidised counselling, we would be happy to consider your suggestions. Please email sarah@thepracticerooms.co.uk.
Coming Home
A rapidly growing new method for looking at personal and family problems, Family Constellations offer real possibilities for healing and transformation. The process is unlike any other form of therapy, in that we are trying to bring to light the unconscious events, often in previous generations of our family, that may have contributed to the current difficulties. Hopefully they can then be laid to rest, so we can move forward with greater choice and freedom in how we lead our lives.
The Practice Rooms supports this organisation by funding to support bursary schemes within the training.
NAOS

NAOS supports people at critical moments in their lives with a person centered approach being at their core. They understand that many of the clients they work with struggle to access traditional forms of therapy therefore provide a range of the therapies from counseling, psychotherapy, art, dance and drama psychotherapy, play therapy, hip hop therapy and boxing therapy as well as outreach therapy and therapeutic keyworking meeting the client ‘where they’re at’ on multiple levels. Their aim is to make therapy accessible to all.
The Practice Rooms donates monthly to NAOS to support this valuable service.
Trauma Foundation South West
Trauma Foundation South West provides free professional psychotherapy to highly traumatised refugees and asylum seekers. Many have lost, not only their loved ones, but also their country and culture. They were traumatised in their home countries, during very difficult journeys to the UK and in the asylum process once they are here. This is very expensive to provide, particularly as half our clients need interpreters for the work.

WebHealer
WebHealer – Recommended supplier of websites
A website is one of the basic requirements for any therapist in private practice and The Practice Rooms recommends WebHealer as our preferred supplier. They offer very good value for money at a price point that is just right for most therapists and to make the package even more attractive, The Practice Rooms has negotiated special terms so you get an even better deal.
Helping you attract more clients to your practice
Therapists often come to WebHealer for their very first website, typically with little knowledge of what is involved. If you would describe yourself as a ‘technophobe’ we think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by their approach. They promise to talk to you in plain English rather than technobabble and they take the time to explain things so they make sense.
Passionate about low prices
Another big reason for WebHealer’s popularity with therapists is that they work very hard to keep costs down. You can be up and running, with a great looking uniquely designed website, including all your charges for hosting, Google optimisation and support for much less than you’d think. With their new DIFM (Do It For Me) design service, you can work one-on-one with a designer who will customise your choice of design to suit your information and preferences until you’re 100% happy. Normally priced at £249 + VAT, mention the Practice Rooms and you’ll get a £100 discount! Once your site is live, the ongoing support and service charges including email, a booking system, Google optimisation, and more are typically £15 + vat per month.
Top places on Google
Therapists often switch to WebHealer because they want better performance from their website. Recent research showed that WebHealerclients occupy 5x more Google page 1 places than their nearest competitor. This research was independently verified by Private Practice Hub.
Preferential Terms
The Practice Rooms have negotiated preferential terms with WebHealerto make this option even more attractive. Speak to the Centre Manager for further information.
