Charlene Thomson
We can all feel stuck at times – whether navigating difficult life circumstances, processing trauma, experiencing relationship challenges, or feeling overwhelmed. I offer a safe, accepting, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace.
I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist registered with the HCPC and an EMDR therapist, working across both NHS and private practice. I draw on a range of evidence-based psychological approaches, tailoring therapy to your individual needs, goals, and preferences so that it feels meaningful, focused, and effective.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate and flexible. Sessions are a space where we can develop a deeper understanding of any challenges you may be facing, combining psychological insight with practical strategies that can help create meaningful and lasting change in your life.
I have experience working with a range of issues, including anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, trauma, PTSD, domestic and sexual violence, grief and loss, and relationship issues. Whether you are seeking support for a specific difficulty or looking to better understand yourself, together we can find what is most helpful for you.
– I offer both in-person and online therapy.
– I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation where you can ask questions and explore whether we might be a good fit.
– I am registered with The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), The British Psychological Society (BPS) and The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
