Eunoia Health
I am an integrative therapist trained in psychodynamic therapy and Jungian theory, and I specialise in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I bring these together so we can explore why you feel the way you do and also change how you live with it day to day. The people who find their way to me are often the ones others lean on. They hold down demanding jobs, look after everyone around them and rarely let anything slip. Privately, their mind won’t settle. It might be worry that runs on a loop, a thought that feels unbearable and won’t leave, a need to check or redo things until they feel right, or an exhaustion that no amount of sleep seems to fix. Many have tried hard to reason their way out, only to find the problem tightens the more they fight it.
Psychodynamic and Jungian thinking gives us a way to look at the patterns underneath: how your history, your relationships and the parts of yourself you rarely show still shape your reactions now. ACT, an approach recognised by NICE and backed by evidence, gives you practical ways to step back from difficult thoughts and feelings so they stop running the show. Understanding tells us where things come from, and ACT helps you move forward. I find people need both.
My main areas of work are anxiety, including health anxiety and high-functioning anxiety, and OCD, especially intrusive thoughts and moral or harm-related OCD. I also see people for perfectionism, burnout, stress, low mood, grief and problems with sleep. I am particularly drawn to working with people who feel that previous help only scratched the surface. My clinical experience spans inpatient mental health care and university teaching, as well as private practice. I have seen anxiety and OCD at their most severe as well as in their quieter, everyday forms, and I understand how people can stay stuck even when they are doing everything right.
In sessions I am warm but straightforward, and I will always tell you what I think is going on. We agree what you want from therapy and check in on it regularly, so it never drifts. I measure success by how well you manage once we finish, which means our work together has a purpose and a planned end.
I see clients in person in Wimbledon and Horsham, and online anywhere in the UK. If you would like to talk things through first, you can book a free 15-minute call. There is no commitment, just a chance to see whether I am the right person to help.
