Have you ever felt that words alone can’t fully capture what you’re experiencing? Sometimes we carry emotions that are hard to untangle or find ourselves stuck in patterns that no longer serve us. Art psychotherapy offers another way forward–combining creative expression and talking to explore emotions, relationships, and life challenges in a calm, supportive, and non-judgemental space. About me: Hello, my name is Angel. I am a multicultural art psychotherapist registered with the HCPC and a full member of the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT). I am based in South West London, UK, offering therapy both in-person and online in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. My approach is gentle, creative, and integrative, grounded in compassion and authenticity. Together, we can explore, reflect, and heal–using a picture, an object, or words to connect with your inner world, gain insight, and move toward growth and change. I strive to offer a space where creativity, authenticity, and compassion support meaningful reflection, connection, and healing. I specialise in a psychodynamic approach, integrating elements of Internal Family Systems (IFS), SoulCollage®, and somatic practices to support emotional healing, self-awareness, and personal growth. I offer 1:1, parent-child, and group therapy for children, young people, parents, and adults who wish to explore emotions, relationships, and life challenges at their own pace. My work supports clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, loss, and life transitions, helping to gently shift deeply rooted patterns toward greater freedom, confidence, and self-awareness. I also facilitate art and wellbeing groups for East and Southeast Asian (ESEA) and Hong Kong communities. These groups focus on themes of trauma, cultural identity, loss, and displacement, and support individuals navigating transitions into new environments. My background in visual arts, alongside clinical experience across the NHS, schools, community, and charity settings, has shaped my inclusive, open-minded, and person-centred practice. My multicultural background has deeply informed my sensitivity to issues of migration, belonging, and identity–experiences shared by many of the individuals I work with. Next step: Taking the first step toward healing can feel daunting, but you don’t have to do it alone. Reaching out is a courageous act of self-care. If you’re curious about how sessions work, please get in touch for a free 15-minute consultation or email me with any questions. Together, we can explore what feels most important to you and begin a journey toward understanding, healing, and growth.
