Barbara Anzalone
I am a BACP registered humanistic counsellor, working to become an accredited member, with several years of experience supporting adults through life’s most challenging moments. My practice is rooted in the belief that every person holds the capacity for growth, self-understanding, and meaningful change — and that the right therapeutic relationship can unlock that potential.
Drawing on Person-Centred, Transactional Analysis, and Gestalt approaches, I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where clients feel truly heard and accepted. Rather than directing or advising, I work alongside you, helping you explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. I believe that you are the expert on your own self, and my role is to support you in reconnecting with your inner wisdom and values.
I work with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, identity, and life transitions. I am experienced in supporting clients from diverse backgrounds and am committed to inclusive, culturally sensitive practice.
I hold a BSc in Humanistic Counselling, and I engage in regular clinical supervision and continuing professional development to ensure the highest standard of care.
