Charlie Stocks
I have a deep trust in the healing potential of a therapeutic relationship. At the heart of my work is the belief that meaningful change can happen when you feel safely held, understood, and able to explore your experiences without judgement.
Reaching out for therapy can feel exposing and uncertain, and I aim to offer a space that is steady, respectful, and collaborative from the beginning. I work in a trauma-informed and client-led way, recognising how past experiences and relationships shape how we think, feel, and respond in the present. Many ways of coping are rooted in survival and protection. Together, we take time to understand these patterns with care, supporting greater self-compassion, and choice.
Therapy moves at a manageable pace, with attention to emotional safety, stabilisation, and developing ways of coping with both everyday pressures and deeper emotional difficulties. As an integrative psychotherapist, I tailor therapy to each person’s needs. I work with complex trauma and dissociation, as well as anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, identity and self-worth, and the ongoing stresses of daily life.
I also have experience supporting those who have experienced sexual trauma, abuse, and incest, and offer Pre-Trial Therapy for individuals considering reporting or currently involved in a police investigation, with sensitivity to the emotional impact of this process. Above all, my aim is to offer a space where you can explore your experiences, whether past or present, at your own pace and work towards changes that feel meaningful and sustainable for you.
