Thank you for looking at my profile. My name is Chris, a fully qualified and registered therapeutic counsellor (MBACP, Dip.Couns), offering face to face sessions in Leeds, and online sessions across the country. Therapy is available to you in three different forms. Remote – Therapy can be held via video call or telephone. I use Google Meet, WhatsApp and Discord. In Person – Therapy can be held in a private room in Leeds.

People who are receiving therapy from me often asked themselves; Why do I feel anxious all the time? I just cannot bring myself to get through the day, does life have to be like this? Why do I not feel happy? I just cannot see a way out. Am I just destined to struggle? The therapy I offer aims to address questions like this. People who I support are able to use therapy to “take back control of their lives”, for example;

I understand it is a crucial part of therapy to understand how your psychotherapist operates, and that they are a “good match” for you. A few areas to give you a flavour of who I am are; I use a “down to earth” approach as a psychotherapist. While I hold the knowledge and training to help people, such as yourself. I ensure to bring this into the therapy room in an accessible and “no nonsense” way. You have made the important step of reaching out for therapy, and I value ensuring that the process is accessible and relatable. I tailor therapy to each person I support. No two people are the same, and that means that no two therapy processes should be the same. I work in an person centred way, which means that I can use approaches depending on what you want to benefit from in therapy. I hold empathy as one of the most important elements of therapy. No person I support should feel like they are being judged, or not understood, my therapy room is a safe space to be yourself, and trust that I am only interested in supporting you to benefit from therapy in the way that you want to.
