Claire Johnson
| I am a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with over 30 years’ experience working across multiple adult mental health settings within the NHS, including primary care, liaison psychiatry, therapeutic communities, day services, and complex emotional needs services. Throughout my career, I have maintained a strong commitment to working collaboratively and creatively, especially those who have experienced trauma, relational difficulties, or longstanding emotional distress. My approach is warm, reflective, and grounded in relational and trauma-informed practice.
I offer both short- and long-term therapy, informed by psychodynamic, relational and trauma-focused approaches. I work sensitively with neurodivergent individuals, those from LGBTQ+ and minority backgrounds, and people who have experienced early adversity or abuse. Alongside private therapy, I also offer clinical supervision and reflective practice for therapists, clinicians, and organisations seeking to improve relational awareness and emotional resilience in their work. If you’re seeking a thoughtful, experienced therapist or supervisor feel free to get in touch for an initial conversation about working together. |
