I am an accredited EMDR therapist, Cognitive Analytic Psychotherapist, and Clinical Supervisor with over 20 years’ experience working in NHS mental health services.

I specialise in supporting adults who have experienced trauma, adverse life events, and difficulties managing emotional states and relationships. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is at the heart of my practice. It is a powerful, evidence-based therapy that helps people process distressing experiences, reduce emotional distress, and move towards lasting recovery.

EMDR can be effective for a wide range of difficulties, including post-traumatic stress, childhood trauma, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, low self-esteem, and the lasting impact of adverse life experiences. My approach is integrative and trauma-informed. Alongside EMDR, I draw on Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), somatic psychology, Mentalisation-Based Therapy (MBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed approaches, polyvagal theory, and elements of CBT, ACT, and DBT. This enables me to tailor therapy to your unique needs, supporting not only symptom relief but also deeper healing, emotional integration, self-understanding, and lasting change. Together, we will explore how past experiences may have shaped your emotional responses, relationships, coping strategies, and beliefs about yourself.

I aim to provide a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can safely make sense of your experiences, process unresolved difficulties, strengthen resilience, and reconnect with your strengths and values.

I offer both standard EMDR therapy and intensive EMDR programmes, which can be particularly helpful for those seeking focused trauma treatment over a shorter period of time. I also provide clinical supervision for mental health professionals.

If you would like to explore whether EMDR or integrative psychotherapy may be helpful for you, please feel free to get in touch for an informal conversation.
