Alyson Coleman
I have been a dramatherapist for over 20 years working with adults and children in a wide range of settings including 15 years in the NHS. I am a lecturer at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, London, on the MA dramatherapy training course. I also lead the Creative Arts Supervision Training.
Dramatherapy is a form of psychotherapy which uses creative techniques to work with issues such as anxiety, depression, bereavement and life changes. You do not need to be ‘good’ at drama or have any experience! We might use story, image or movement to help support us through life’s challenges. My particular specialism is in bereavement, loss and change with children or adults.
I also offer clinical supervision for arts therapists, councillors and psychotherapists – individual or small groups. My particular experience and interest is supervision and training with education, health or social services professionals – teams and individuals. Please contact me for an informal discussion or to hear more about dramatherapy, supervision or training.
Online and/or telephone appointments are available.
