Hello! My name is Efter and I have been a practitioner for nearly 25 years. Having always wanted to help others overcome limitations, I graduated as a Physiotherapist in 2001. The need to understand more, took me to Australia where I gained a Master’s degree in Manual Therapy (2005), which gave me a very good understanding of pain mechanisms, functional movement and rehabilitation.
Over the years, from meeting and treating hundreds of clients, I felt there was something missing from my practice; I was increasingly looking for the connections between the physical body as well as the mental and emotional world of my clients.
My explorations led me to find the missing link, both professionally and personally, in CranioSacral Therapy (CST) and SomatoEmotional Release (SER). Becoming a CST and SER practitioner has greatly widened my therapeutic lens and I comfortably integrate evidence-based Physiotherapy with gentle, hands-on CST.
My approach is warm, enthusiastic and non-judgemental. I listen deeply and aim to meet you where you are. You might be recovering from a physical injury, experiencing recurrent symptoms, or simply want more ease and vitality. Perhaps, a past emotional event has left an imprint in your body, which manifests physically or emotionally. By following the wisdom of your body, we work together to uncover what drives your symptoms, whether it is pain, lack of movement, a sense of imbalance or an emotion that seeks release and integration.
My intention is to support your body’s natural ability to self-heal. After all, we are all hard-wired for wellness, healing and connection!
When the physical flow of your body is restored, your mind and nervous system is calmer and your energy levels improve. You feel more centred and connected, to yourself and to others. Through our work together, you are also able to provide better self-care to yourself.
I am a Study Group leader for the Upledger Institute and I run regular meetings for CST students in Beckenham, SE London. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and the Cranio Sacral Society (CSS).
