Elisa Phillips MBACP (Accred)
Psychotherapy and Counselling for couples, individuals, children and young people.
About me
Hi, I’m Elisa, an Accredited MBACP qualified and experienced Therapist working with couples, individuals, children and young people.
I have always been deeply interested in people, relationships and the experiences that shape who we are. I bring warmth, compassion and professional experience to my work, offering a confidential and thoughtful space where you can speak openly and feel heard without judgement.
I support clients through a wide range of emotional, relational and life challenges. My approach is collaborative and tailored to the individual, recognising that each person comes to therapy with their own history, circumstances and needs.
My private practice is based in central Bath, where I offer face-to-face therapy. I also work remotely with clients across the UK and internationally.
For clients whose professional or personal circumstances require greater flexibility and discretion, I can provide therapy while they are travelling and, by arrangement, travel within the UK or internationally to work with them in person.
We all find life hard at times, psychological difficulties can take us by surprise, often feelings emerge that something is not quite right. We can feel disconnected, unhappy, tearful, anxious. Whatever your reasons for seeking help it takes courage to do this. People are often fearful of exposing their deepest selves, but with the fit of a right therapist it can help clients improve relationships and reduce emotional fear and suffering.
What I Offer
My priority is to provide a supportive and authentic relationship that will offer space and trust for honest exploration. Together we will try to resolve your problems. This might mean gaining more understanding of how your past has shaped your present, changing repeated patterns of thinking can offer the opportunity to heal and move forward. My job is to listen and stay alongside you in the work. Through exploring and reflection together, we make sense of what might be causing unhappiness, moving toward a greater sense of understanding yourself and ultimately peace. I work alongside you through challenges helping to initiate change and restore balance.
Values and Style
My therapeutic style is primarily integrative, working from a person centred approach with integration of theories guiding the therapeutic direction. This means that the work is tailored to each client uniquely. Ultimately I see the work as creating a completely respectful and sacred space. I am passionate about creating wellness and a healthy mind and body connection.
I hold Carl Jung in particular regard and love his quote ‘we cannot change anything unless we accept it’.
