My pronouns are she/her

I am a Reading-based student therapist, working towards a qualification in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy.

Before studying towards being a therapist, I earnt a Masters in Psychology from Oxford Brookes University, and have a background working in social care settings.

I am passionate about helping clients with relationships in all forms – from themselves, to their friends, and the individuals they romantically love. I also strongly believe that having training in sexual problems is beneficial to any form of therapy so that if a client wishes to introduce it as part of their therapeutic programme, they can feel comfortable doing so within the therapeutic alliance they may have already built.

I take a pluralistic approach to therapy, adjusting to the client’s needs and wishes. This mainly draws on Person-Centred and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), however I am also comfortable with various other approaches, and am always happy to try creative methods as a form of problem-solving.

I am LGBT+ friendly, and deliberately chose my training to be one that studied psychosexual and relationship counselling with all sexualities, genders, and sexes in mind. It is also personally important to me to offer cultural and faith sensitive therapeutic spaces, and welcome those from diverse backgrounds with open arms and a mindset towards meeting them where they are.
