Georgina Daunt
I am a qualified and experienced therapist with a compassionate and down to earth approach. I work with an integrative model, which draws on different approaches depending on what supports the client best. I have an awareness of a number of schools of thought and approaches (psychodynamic, humanistic, existential, gestalt, body psychotherapy, CBT) with the aim to practice in a way that is suitable to each unique individual.
I have experience with a wide range of issues, including: anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, issues from childhood, challenges with relationships, pregnancy loss and bereavement. I offer both short-term counselling and longer, open-ended work. I
have extensive experience working in the third sector: a low cost therapy service, a specialised service for pregnancy loss support and a project in Holloway prison. These experiences have given me a chance to work with a diverse client group from different classes, race, religion, and sexual orientation.
