My pronouns are she/her

My aim is to offer a therapeutic relationship where you feel heard and understood. As a therapist, my goal is to aid you in feeling more hopeful and able to move forward in a way that feels right for you.

I am a trained Integrative Psychotherapist, with a Postgraduate Diploma, Level 2 and Level 3 Counselling Skills and a BSc in Psychology. In addition to counselling I have worked in education for over 20 years. Within my research I have specialised in parents’ mental health  and I have experience of supporting teachers, support staff and university students.

My training allows me to tailor therapy to you as an individual. I work with clients around confidence, self esteem, and empowerment. I have supported people who feel stuck or unsure how to make changes in their lives. I specialise in working with anxiety and depression,  health issues, loss, bereavement, and many other major life changes. I have worked with clients who have worked related stress or are currently unemployed. Counselling can be a supportive way to process work related challenges.

Many of my clients come to therapy following a late diagnosis of ADHD or autism, and we work together to build understanding, self acceptance, and a kinder relationship with themselves. In our sessions, I draw on person centred therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), always adapting my approach to suit your needs. We may also explore how early relationships and attachment experiences have shaped how you see yourself and the world today.

Therapy is collaborative — we work together at your pace, focusing on what matters most to you.

Alongside my counselling qualifications I hold a PGCE and an MA in Early Childhood Studies. I have supported students, parents, and staff in dealing with the many pressures of the education system. I am especially passionate about supporting parents, recognising how demanding it can be to care for children, especially those with SEND or mental health needs. I offer a safe space where these experiences can be explored openly and without judgement. At the heart of my work is a genuine desire to help people grow, gain insight, and feel more connected to themselves.

Choosing the right counsellor can feel daunting, so I offer a free introductory phone call to give you the opportunity to ask questions and explore whether I am the right fit for you. Therapy sessions are offered at a rate of £50 per session. A concessionary rate is available for students and individuals in receipt of benefits.
