You may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected from yourself. Perhaps you’re navigating a life transition, relationship difficulties, low self-worth, or finding that past experiences continue to shape your present-day life.
I am a trainee Core Process Psychotherapist at the Karuna Institute and currently offer reduced-rate psychotherapy sessions. I offer a warm, compassionate space where you can slow down and explore your experience at a pace that feels right for you.
Core Process Psychotherapy is a mindfulness-based, relational approach that invites awareness of thoughts, emotions, bodily experience and relational patterns, and how these are shaped by our life history. At its heart, it rests on the understanding that beneath our ways of coping and protecting ourselves, there is an ongoing capacity for clarity, connection and well-being. Therapy offers a way of gently returning to this through awareness, presence and a compassionate therapeutic relationship.
In our work together, there is space for your story to unfold in its own time, alongside a growing awareness of present-moment experience. When past experiences or trauma are activated in current life, we may find ourselves overwhelmed by emotions such as anxiety, shame, anger or withdrawal. Therapy offers a steady space to meet these experiences with care, allowing what has been carried alone to be gently held in relationship.
You do not need any prior experience of mindfulness, only a willingness to arrive as you are.
Alongside my training, I maintain a personal practice of yoga, meditation and time in nature, and have found therapy deeply supportive in my own life. These continue to be resourcing for me and shape the way I offer an attentive and compassionate presence.
If this speaks to something in you, you are warmly invited to get in touch for a free initial meeting.
