Karin Lindgren
Maybe you struggle with your relationships, experience difficulties at work, or feel that you are not where you want to be. I am an open and approachable integrative therapist who can help you develop new coping strategies and tools, which will enable you to move towards greater self-awareness, self-esteem, and self-worth leading to a more fulfilled and autonomous life.
My integrative approach means that I will draw from different modalities, such as person-centred, psychodynamic, and Gestalt, which makes your therapy experience unique and led by your individual needs. I am also using elements from CBT to challenge automatic negative thoughts and to move away from self-debilitating beliefs.
I can offer you one-to-one sessions in person or on zoom, where you can freely explore all aspects of your life in a confidential and safe space. Whether you experience anxiety, depression, trauma or you feel that something is not just right, I will support you, showing empathy, and respect and I will always be non-judgemental. Together we will explore difficulties from the past and present and how they affect your life. This will lead to new insights and to greater understanding and self-acceptance. I strongly believe that establishing a close and trusting therapeutic relationship creates the platform for beneficial change.
I have worked in the NHS short-term service. Now, in addition to seeing clients privately, I also work for Mind. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, loss and bereavement, postnatal depression, body dysmorphic disorder, ADHD, illness, intrusive thoughts, addiction, relationship problems and childhood trauma. I also have experience working with people feeling stuck in their creative process and have helped them to reconnect with their joy and passion.
