Katarzyna Booden
Thank you for visiting my profile.
I provide individual and couples counselling in Oxford.
Having personally experienced the transformative power of counselling, I feel honoured to be able to professionally accompany people as they navigate life’s trials.
I support individuals and couples facing various life challenges, such as anxiety, bereavement (including pets), depression, the effects of trauma, low self-esteem, migration, relationship struggles, sexuality, study, and work stress, in making positive changes that align with their desires. I adopt a holistic approach, considering body, mind, social, and spiritual factors when appropriate, and a pluralistic perspective, valuing different ways of working rather than a ‘one size fits all’ approach. Above all, I prioritise my clients’ autonomy and agency.
I am passionate about diversity, and I have a particular interest in the relationships we form with ourselves, others, and the environment.
My constant intention is to maintain an open and positive attitude.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Humanistic Counselling, a Certificate in Couples Counselling, and I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. Before becoming a counsellor in 2017, I worked in nursing, social care, and education. I have been living in the UK since 2005.
I work in English and Polish.
