Katia Eldring

Hello, my name is Katia Eldring.

I am a certified breathwork practitioner specialising in functional breathing, nervous-system regulation and Conscious Connected Breathwork.

My work brings together two complementary approaches to breathing: the physiological and the experiential.

As a certified Oxygen Advantage® Functional Breathing Instructor and Buteyko Method Practitioner, I work with everyday breathing patterns and help clients identify and retrain dysfunctional breathing habits. Alongside this, my professional training in Conscious Connected Breathwork allows me to work with the breath as a somatic practice supporting emotional awareness, stress management , self-exploration and deeper connection with the body.

I am also recognised by the Global Professional Breathwork Alliance (GPBA) as an Ethically Compliant Breathworker, having met its Code of Practice and Training Standards and committed to its Ethical Principles.

My Approach

I don’t believe in teaching everyone to “take a deep breath.”

Breathing is highly individual. Stress, lifestyle, habitual breathing patterns and our emotional state can all influence how we breathe, while the way we breathe can, in turn, influence how we feel.

My approach therefore begins with the person rather than the technique.

In functional breathing sessions, we look at how you breathe during everyday life — including breathing volume, rhythm, nasal vs mouth breathing and your response to air hunger. I use gentle breathing retraining to help establish more efficient and functional breathing patterns. For physically active clients and athletes, I can also incorporate breathing techniques designed to support exercise performance, recovery, focus and tolerance to breathlessness.

Conscious Connected Breathwork offers something different. These facilitated sessions use continuous, connected breathing to explore the relationship between breath, body and emotional experience. Rather than trying to produce a particular outcome, I create a carefully held space in which clients can experience and explore what arises.

I particularly value combining these two sides of breathwork: understanding the physiology of breathing while respecting its powerful connection with our emotional lives.

My Specialisms Include

  • Dysfunctional breathing and breathing-pattern retraining
  • Chronic overbreathing and habitual mouth breathing
  • Functional nasal breathing
  • Breathing for exercise and sports performance
  • Stress, anxiety and emotional overwhelm
  • Nervous-system regulation and relaxation
  • Conscious Connected Breathwork
  • Body awareness and emotional processing
  • Sleep and breathing habits
  • Building resilience to stress
  • Personal development and self-exploration

Who I Work With

I often work with people who appear to be coping well on the outside but internally feel stressed, tense, overwhelmed or constantly “switched on.”

Some come because they have noticed something isn’t quite right with their breathing. Others have already tried meditation, mindfulness, therapy or other approaches and are interested in working more directly through the body.

You do not need to be “good at” meditation, relaxation or breathwork to work with me. We start with your breathing as it is now.

My intention is to provide a safe, attentive and non-judgemental environment, adapting the work to the individual rather than expecting the individual to fit a particular breathing method.
