I am a qualified Dramatherapist with 19 years of experience working with children, young people and adults in a variety of educational, community and professional organisations. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Drama and Master’s Degrees in Contemporary Theatre and in Dramatherapy. In addition I am also trained in Life Span integration, a form of body-mind therapy focused on healing trauma as well as trained to use Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) principles throughout my therapy practice. DDP is a form of psychotherapy that can help form and repair connections and attachment between children, young people and their parent/carers.

I am a full member of British Association of Dramatherapists (BADth) and registered with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC). I have an enhanced DBS check which is updated regularly for working with children, young people and vulnerable adults. I specialise in working with children and young people, in particular those that have experienced complex trauma. I am passionate about creating value in my community using the therapeutic tools of theatre to inspire and make a fundamental difference to every individual. Everyone can benefit from the creativity Dramatherapy offers.

I can offer Dramatherapy sessions for children, young people and adults with a variety of presenting needs. Sessions are usually 60 minutes and can be delivered either face to face or online depending on the needs of each client. I also offer group sessions which can be tailored to suit the needs of the group and can take place online or face to face. A full referral and assessment process will be undertaken. Therapy can be short term focused or longer term depending on individual needs.

I have extensive experience with the following client groups; trauma, abuse, shame, mental health difficulties, self harm, autism, behavioural and learning difficulty, attachment difficulties, anxiety, low self-esteem, shame, grief and care experienced young people. I believe therapy has the potential to change lives and should be accessible for everyone regardless of background. All my work is underpinned by the belief that everyone is valuable, unique and has something to contribute.

My main passion is for each person to be able to express themselves and to feel good about who they are, always offering a choice and ownership throughout the work together. I aim to empower every person I work with to develop this belief within themselves regardless of their past or current circumstances.
