Lore Carbajal

My pronouns are she/her

I am a certified Creative Arts and Play Therapist (accredited by Leeds Beckett University and the Academy of Play and Child Psychotherapy) offering a holistic approach to emotional and spiritual wellbeing. I work with children, teens, and adults interested in Creative Arts & Play therapy. In my approach, I use art-making, sand tray, clay work, and other creative modalities to help clients process feelings that are hard to put into words, externalising them into something they can see, hold, and work through at their own pace. My approach is compassionate, intuitive, and mainly non-directive, supporting clients through anxiety, trauma, grief, and life transitions, and grounded in the belief that the creative process itself opens pathways to insight and growth.

Before training as a therapist, Lore spent over 25 years as an artist and educator, holding two Master’s degrees with Distinction (Fine Art, Kingston University; Art & Design in Education, UCL) and leading projects for institutions including the Tate, the V&A, the National Gallery, and The Francis Crick Institute. Her own artwork has been exhibited internationally.
Born in Argentina and based in Kent since 2001, Lore is also the creative force behind The Art Trolley, running art and creativity workshops for children since 2010.
