Do you feel overwhelmed or stuck in a cycle of self-criticism and perfectionism? Do low mood, anxiety or continual self-doubt prevent you from being fully present with others and engaging in life? It can feel daunting to access support, especially if you feel that you should not be feeling like this or you should be able to cope.
I am a Clinical Psychologist with experience of working in the NHS and in private practice. I specialise in supporting adults who may be experiencing a range of difficulties including anxiety, worry, depression/ low mood, burnout, perfectionism and persistent self-criticism. I also support adults who may feel ‘stuck’, lacking a sense of purpose or fulfilment in life.
I am trained in several therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) which means that I can work integratively to develop an individualised, evidence-based approach to meet the specific needs of clients. Sessions provide a calm, reflective space in which to explore difficulties and experiences non-judgementally and with compassion. I work collaboratively with clients to develop an understanding of their difficulties, whilst also focusing on building a range of effective techniques to help clients connect with their values to create positive, meaningful changes.
Finding a therapist with whom you feel comfortable working with is essential. If you would like to find out more about the way I work and how I can help, please contact me to arrange a brief, no-obligation telephone consultation (around 15 minutes) and we can see if we are a good fit to work together. I look forward to hearing from you.
Online and/or telephone appointments are available.
