You might be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, numb, or under constant pressure to “hold it together”.
Maybe you know something isn’t right, but you’re not sure how to put it into words – or you’re tired of having to explain yourself.

I’m an integrative, creative counsellor, and I work in a way that’s collaborative, gentle, and led by you. I won’t analyse you or try to fix you. Instead, we’ll slow things down and make sense of what’s going on beneath the surface, at your pace.

Some people find it helpful to talk things through. Others struggle to find the right words – or feel disconnected from them altogether. Both are completely okay here. Alongside conversation, we can use creative approaches such as small-world figures, metaphor, imagery, or art to help you explore what’s going on when words feel limited or overwhelming.

I believe therapy works best as a partnership. I’ll walk alongside you as we explore what’s been weighing you down, helping you understand your thoughts and feelings with more clarity and compassion, and supporting you to move towards what matters to you.

I have experience working with adults and young people in a range of settings, including universities, schools, mental health charities, Citizens Advice, and private practice. I regularly support clients who are neurodivergent, including those with ADHD or autism, and I work in a way that is flexible, affirming, and responsive to individual needs.

Working with young people:

When your young person is struggling, it can be hard to know how best to help.
You may have noticed changes in their mood, behaviour, or confidence, or perhaps they seem overwhelmed, withdrawn, or stuck. Sometimes young people don’t have the words to explain how they’re feeling — or they’re unsure whether adults will really understand.

I work with young people aged 12+ in a way that is gentle, respectful, and led by them. I don’t analyse or diagnose young people, and I don’t expect them to talk about anything before they’re ready. Instead, I offer a calm, supportive space where they can explore what’s going on at their own pace.

Sessions are available online or face-to-face, and last 50 minutes (£60 per session). I aim to work transparently and ethically with parents or carers, while also protecting the young person’s confidentiality and autonomy.

Trainee counsellors & professionals:
I have a limited number of concessionary spaces for trainee counsellors (£40 per session) and also offer clinical supervision for counsellors and pastoral workers, including youth workers.

If you’re wondering whether counselling is the right next step, or if you’re unsure where to start, you’re very welcome to get in touch and we can arrange a free half hour chat (on Zoom). We can take things one step at a time.

Online and/or telephone appointments are available.
