Nicole George
I am a BACP and Bupa registered psychotherapist who has been practising for over 20 years. I have extensive experience working with a broad range of clients privately and in the NHS. My therapeutic approach is collaborative and pluralistic. Depending on each person’s situation, an experience of therapy is jointly created.
The aim is to help the person get closer to their unique potential and desired life outcomes. This way of working is informed by humanistic principles and ideas from a broad range of philosophical and psychotherapeutic disciplines. These include existential-phenomenological approaches, psychodynamic theory and third wave cognitive-behavioural techniques that are adapted to meet the needs of each individual client.
I also like to practice holistically incorporating how the body feels, breath work, energy levels, relaxation techniques and some meditative practices. I adhere at all times to the codes of ethics laid out by my professional registration bodies: the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
