Paul Cerigo

I am Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist working with individuals, couples and relationships of all sexualities. I offer a pluralistic person-centred approach within a warm, kind and safe place to explore deep intimate feelings. Integrating a biopsychosocial model, I see therapy as a collaborative and creative process to allow for genuine empathy and creative thinking. Making no assumptions, my aim is to work respectfully with people of diverse backgrounds, acknowledging their core beliefs, and their unique social and cultural aspects that relate to their relationships and sex life. I work with a focus on ‘erotic intelligence’ with issues that come up within relationship to yourself and your relationships with others: sex life, sexuality, gender diversity, models of relationships.

As a trained dancer and practising musician, I am interested in the how the creative arts play a role in the therapeutic journey of self discovery and expression towards wellbeing. I am an qualified homeopathic practitioner and trained in humanistic counselling, dance movement therapy, and mindfulness yoga practices. I can offer a unique approach to help individuals and couples integrate the delicate balance of body mind soul-spirit creativity and sexuality on the journey to unlocking new, healthier and pleasurable ways of living. Through exploring both desire and arousal as a productive creative energy, and intimacy- ‘into me see’-we can find connection. I respect the connection and contact with the self and the other, has potential for inner knowledge of the authentic self.

Over the last 10 years, I have been working on front line community mental health services in London as a Mental Health Support Worker. I presently run a small Psychosexual Counselling clinic at NHS Hospital in South London. As someone who has worked extensively with individuals facing mental health challenges, I have developed an excellent empathic understanding of their needs, concerns, and challenges, particularly those due to trauma, shame, sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, homelessness, poverty, isolation, racism, discrimination, stigma.
