Penny Porter

Penny Porter Executive Coach – Mid-Life and Senior Transitions Penny Porter works with senior leaders and professionals at the points in their careers and lives where the old map no longer serves. Her expertise is in executive coaching: leadership development, role transitions, performance, confidence and influence at the top table, with a focus on mid-life transformation, personal and professional.

Many people arrive at mid-life and find that while they have achieved success on paper, a persistent inner voice is asking: “What comes next? What matters now? Who am I becoming?” Penny specialises in this territory. She helps clients make sense of what is shifting, separate the expectations they inherited from the ambitions they hold, and build their next act with intention. Penny works with metaphor and narrative, helping clients rewrite their own story and change its direction. This is rigorous, practical work with accountability. Clients leave sessions with sharper thinking, clearer decisions and a stronger sense of their own authority. Many describe it as the first time they have been properly heard in years.

Penny is also the founder of Arcadia Search®, a retained executive search and coaching practice, which gives her an unusual vantage point. She understands how senior careers are built, how leaders are assessed and appointed, and what organisations look for at the highest levels. She is also the creator of The Codex Protocol®, a six-month hybrid programme that combines a digital platform with one-to-one executive coaching. Her background is in the communications sector, and she works comfortably with individual executives, founders and leadership teams, and with organisations commissioning coaching for their people. Clients often come to her when navigating a move, a promotion, a redundancy or restructure, or a deliberate change of direction, such as going it alone. Others arrive with a less defined starting point, sensing it is time to face inner blockers such as imposter syndrome, avoidance or people-pleasing. Penny’s credentials reflect a serious commitment to professional standards. She holds the AoEC Executive Coaching Diploma, EMCC Practitioner accreditation and the ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential. She works under regular professional supervision, ensuring her practice remains reflective, ethical and current.

Penny works with clients who are: • Approaching or navigating mid-life and questioning their direction • Stepping into senior or board-level roles • Managing a career transition, whether chosen or imposed • Leading through change or complexity • Seeking greater confidence, presence and influence • High achievers ready to define success on their own terms Coaching with Penny is confidential, focused and tailored entirely to the individual. There are no off-the-shelf programmes. Each engagement begins with a conversation about where you are, where you want to be, and what has been standing in the way.

If you are at a turning point and want a thinking partner who will challenge you as much as support you, Penny offers an initial conversation to explore whether coaching is the right next step.
