Life changes, relationship shifts, and loss can leave you feeling unsettled, especially in midlife. Many people at this stage feel uncertain about their direction, frustrated with how life has turned out, or disconnected from themselves and others. I can help you navigate these challenges, untangle difficult thoughts, and make sense of what you’re going through.
I work with adults experiencing bereavement, such as the death of a loved one, as well as non-bereavement loss — for example, the end of a relationship, career changes, children leaving home, or shifts in identity and life purpose. These losses can leave you with grief, low mood, regret, or anxiety about the future.
Before training as a psychotherapist, I spent 30 years as a nurse in the NHS, specialising in sexual health and working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. This helps me understand the pressures my clients face and the impact on daily life and wellbeing. I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, tailoring my work to each person’s needs.
Outside the therapy room, family, friendship and laughter matter deeply to me. I love walking, gardening and reading, have a fondness for the colour orange, and a weakness for Bourbons — always with tea, and never just one. I offer a free 20-minute introductory call by phone or online to answer any questions and see if we’re a good fit. Session fees are £85 in person and £70 online. You can book sessions one at a time or take advantage of a 20% discount for pre-paid blocks of five sessions. For more about me and how I work, you can visit my website.
Online and/or telephone appointments are available.
