As a BACP Registered Person-Centred Pluralistic Counsellor, I am respectful of each client’s capacity to make choices that best suit them and firmly believe in honouring their independence to make those decisions.
I offer warmth, empathy, understanding and non-judgment to my clients, matched to a belief that my role is not to dictate to others how to live, or to define their experiences. My way of working as a Therapist is about providing the unique individual with the time and space to explore where they are in their life – which might be in relation to evaluating their career direction, work stress, life transitions/challenges, their relationships or an opportunity to explore aspects of themselves and perhaps what lies beneath the surface.
I work in a creative manner in partnership with my clients, aiming to shape a therapeutic environment that supports their specific needs, which might incorporate use of creative methods (perhaps incorporating drawings, photos, dream work etc), or by exploration of Sand Tray and Mindfulness techniques, with the aim of tailoring sessions in accordance to a client’s preferences. I believe it is important that a client feels comfortable about collaborating with me, so that we might establish a way of working that is mutually beneficial to our particular therapeutic relationship – a one-size approach does not fit all.
Although it might be daunting to reach out to someone for support, you’ve already taken an important first step towards the potential for creating hopeful change and personal growth in your life.
If you are interested in hearing more about what I might be able to offer in terms of support, I am happy to schedule a free initial phone conversation (typically, 15-20 minutes in duration). Online appointments via Zoom are also available.
Online and/or telephone appointments are available.
