Tania Pombeiro
Tania is a UKCP and AFT (Association of Family Therapy) registered systemic and family psychotherapist with experience working with a variety of health and well-being related difficulties affecting individuals, couples and families. She has worked in the NHS with children and young people and in independent practice with a range of people at different stages in their lives. She aims to offer a compassionate, open and collaborative approach and give the space people often need to express and explore difficult thoughts and emotions, to understand their experiences and the experiences and views of other, to have a more compassionate view of themselves, to feel supported in understanding experiences of ill health, and reach their goals. Her approach also explores strengths, resources and resilience to support people in making useful changes in their relationships and their lives.
Tania acknowledges the importance of people’s different beliefs, cultures, contexts and life experiences, and will adapt her ways of working according to people’s age, needs, resources and preferences. She is able to see people who speak English or Portuguese.
Tania often meets with people experiencing a range of difficulties, e.g.:

- family communication problems
- eating issues
- illness in the family
