Vanessa Penrose
I offer short or long term psychotherapy, where in a supportive and collaborative space, you can talk about yourself and your life at the pace which suits you, so that together we work to gain a deeper understanding of the issues that are causing difficulty.
Psychodynamic therapy involves listening carefully to whatever is important at the time – distress, confusion and conflicts, all expressed freely – then by exploring feelings and thoughts that might be out of reach and unconscious, we work to understand the underlying causes.
I am a Registered Member (MBACP) of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. In addition, I am currently undertaking further advanced doctoral training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the University of Exeter and the British Psychotherapy Foundation (BPF), leading to accreditation with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC).
