Hello,

I’m Zen, a person-centred therapist and the founder of Find Your Zen.

My approach is simple: clinically informed therapy, client-centred care. I work mainly from a Rogerian, person-centred approach. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and that real change happens when you feel genuinely heard, accepted and understood, without judgement. My role isn’t to tell you what to do. It’s to walk alongside you, offering a warm, safe and honest space where you can make sense of what you’re carrying and find your own way forward, at your own pace.

People come to therapy for all sorts of reasons. Sometimes there’s a clear problem to work through; sometimes it’s simply a feeling that something isn’t quite right. I work with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, stress and burnout, low mood, sleep difficulties, setting healthy boundaries, self-esteem, relationships and life transitions. Whatever brings you here, you’ll be met with warmth and respect.

My background brings a breadth of real-world experience into the therapy room. I have worked within the NHS, and I also work with athletes and coaches, supporting them with the pressure, performance demands and identity questions that come with sport. Before training as a therapist, I spent 15 years working with a training provider, much of that time alongside military staff. This has given me a deep respect for high-pressure environments and the people who work in them.

I hold a CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and work within the BACP Ethical Framework. I am fully insured and attend regular clinical supervision.

I offer sessions face to face in Cardiff, as well as online via Zoom, Teams or FaceTime, by telephone, or by text. That gives you the flexibility to choose whatever feels most comfortable for you. I also offer evening and weekend appointments.

Alongside one-to-one therapy, I deliver wellbeing workshops and masterclasses for workplaces and gyms, and I create practical self-help resources, including guided workbooks and The Twelve Week Journal, to support people between sessions and beyond. Reaching out is often the hardest step, and it takes courage.

If you’re wondering whether therapy could help, I’d love to hear from you. You’re welcome to get in touch for an informal chat, with no pressure and no commitment, just a chance to see if we’re a good fit.
