For the parts of you that haven’t had a voice – yet.
“What do you want to be when you grow up?” “Kind,” said the boy. – Charlie Mackesy
These simple words resonate deeply with me – because kindness is often overlooked, yet it’s the foundation of meaningful therapeutic work. I believe that when kindness is at the heart of the counselling relationship, it creates the safety and connection needed for real healing.
I’m Zoe, a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor offering a warm, non-judgemental space where you can feel truly heard. I work both in private practice and for mental health and homelessness charities, supporting clients with a range of emotional challenges.
My approach is pluralistic, which means I draw from person-centred, psychodynamic, and cognitive behavioural therapies – allowing me to adapt to your needs as they change, and to work at your pace.
You might be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or low – or simply finding it hard to cope with life’s demands. Perhaps this is the first time you’re reaching out. Whatever brings you here is valid. You don’t need to have the words worked out – just a willingness to begin.
“When a person realises he has been deeply heard, his eyes moisten. I think in some real sense he is weeping for joy. It is as though he were saying, ‘Thank God, somebody heard me. Someone knows what it’s like to be me.’” – Carl R. Rogers
Therapy with me is about giving voice to the parts of you that may have been silenced by life, by others, or by yourself. It’s a chance to share your story in a space where you don’t have to feel judged or “fixed,” but gently supported.
If you’re unsure or nervous about starting, I offer a no-pressure initial chat – just a chance to see how it feels.
