Welcome, I’m Zoe, an Integrative Relational Counsellor committed to supporting you with compassion through whatever challenges, concerns or difficult feelings you may currently be facing. Life can bring turbulent and unsettling times. Having a space to explore and make sense of your thoughts and feelings can support you to move forward with greater insight and confidence. I will work collaboratively with you to understand your individual needs, supporting you at your own pace.

I specialise in working with people experiencing anxiety, stress, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship / family issues and the complexities of parenting or caring for others. Whether you are new to counselling or looking to return, feel free to get in touch to arrange a free 15-minute call or book an initial 50-minute appointment.

My approach:

My approach is both integrative and relational, meaning I tailor our work to your unique needs, placing the therapeutic relationship at the centre of the work.

My work is informed by a range of different theories and current approaches, using a blend of humanistic and psychodynamic models. Many clients describe feeling overwhelmed when they first come to therapy. I offer a down to earth approach, working with you to create a supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings and develop the tools and insights needed to make choices that feel right for you.

Together, we might explore how your childhood or past experiences have shaped you or develop strategies to manage your anxiety, low mood, stress or trauma related issues to enable you to move forward with greater self-compassion. I believe counselling can provide an opportunity for you to reconnect with who you really are, fostering greater confidence, resilience and self-awareness. Whatever issues you bring, I offer a confidential and non-stigmatising environment for you to explore.

My Training and experience:

I hold a BA (hons) in Integrative Relational Counselling from Middlesex University (BACP accredited course) and hold BACP registration.

I am also certified to work with clients online and over the telephone. I have a range of experience, including providing counselling within the NHS in a GP practice, with a charity providing low-cost counselling, private practice and with an employee assistance programme. Before becoming a counsellor, I spent over 15 years working in the public sector, so I understand the unique pressures faced by those in healthcare, social care, and the NHS and have experience of working with these groups. I am committed to ongoing professional development and regularly undergo additional training in order to stay informed on the latest research and developments in the counselling and mental health field.

If you’d like to discuss how we might work together, please get in touch to arrange an introductory call or an initial session. Online and telephone appointments are also available.
