I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist who works with individuals to help them live their lives differently. I offer a confidential, supportive and non-judgemental space where we can explore what is going on in your world. This is an opportunity for you to be heard and understood, especially when discussing experiences that you might find difficult to share elsewhere, and for you to gain different perspectives so you can start to make the changes you want. Our focus might involve exploring how to make relatively simple changes to the way you approach things day-to-day, or it might involve a deeper exploration of something that is impacting you such as a relationship crisis or deep-rooted trauma.
Working with me can potentially help you:
My orientation is integrative, which means that I have been trained to create my own approach by drawing on a number of other schools of therapy. In particular, I am influenced by psychodynamic, relational, and body psychotherapy. I don't have a single off-the-shelf approach that I apply to every person I work with. Instead, we work together to identify the areas you want to explore and how best to approach them. Underpinning all the work is the working relationship we establish together.
I hold a Masters Degree and an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling from the Minster Centre, accredited by Middlesex University. As well as working in private practice, I have also previously worked for Transport for London's in-house Counselling and Trauma Service, a leading primary care trust within the NHS in central London, and London Metropolitan University's student counselling service. I am accredited by the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and bound by its code of ethics.
If you are interested in pursuing therapy with me I would suggest that we have a brief conversation via Zoom/telephone to discuss what you are looking for and how I might be able to help. We would then meet for an initial session, and if we decide to progress further we would arrange a time to meet weekly. Appointments last 50 minutes. I charge a sliding scale of £60-£90 per session depending on a client's circumstances. You can find out more about me and how I work on my website.
