Are you feeling down or anxious? Perhaps you have suffered a bereavement or are having relationship difficulties. Or you may be struggling with the demands of work and of your family. Sometimes we don't know what the issue is, we just feel stuck and don't know what to do about it.
Whatever your difficulty, I offer a supportive, non-judgemental environment for you to explore your feelings, understand more about their origins and connect them to your past and present situations. I will work with you to make sense of your difficult experiences, come to terms with life's losses and develop healthier ways of thinking, behaving and relating to others.
I work with a range of presentations including depression, anxiety, bereavement, self-esteem and relationship difficulties. I work with couples at various stages of difficulty in their relationship, helping them to communicate and problem solve more effectively, acknowledge and respond to each other's needs and find new ways to connect more authentically.
I am passionate about my work. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process; my role is not to “fix” but to facilitate understanding and awareness and to empower clients to make new choices. Previously I spent 20 years in the corporate sector and I use my first-hand experience of the stresses and challenges of that environment in my work with clients.
