I am an Integrative Counsellor with a warm, empathic and collaborative approach. My humanistic training means that I am led by you with regards to the topics we discuss and the pace at which we work. I endeavour to empower, give you agency and am able to integrate different therapeutic theories and approaches to best suit you as an individual.
While working as a therapist, I have supported clients exploring issues such as trauma, bereavement, sexual assault, gender and sexual identity, relationship issues, depression and anxiety. Whether you would like to process a particular event, explore difficult feelings, or delve deeper into your psychology, all of you is welcome in the therapy room.
My work is informed by my yoga practice which has taught me that our emotional experiences are often stored in the body and shown me how movement can support us to process these. I have a particular interest in working with trauma as well as questions of identity and belonging.
Alongside my therapeutic training, I have worked in the refugee sector for over a decade. I also have experience of working with young people at an intersectional therapy centre with a focus on attachment and with adults with substance misuse concerns.
