I am an integrative counsellor working in Bristol. Working from an integrative model means that my counselling practice is informed by more than one style of counselling theory. I aim to support you to work through difficulties in a way that is best suited to you and the issues you bring to counselling.
I specialise in working with abuse and associated trauma. Alongside my private practice, I work for the Southmead Project Bristol, a charity offering counselling to adult survivors of abuse, I have also undergone specific specialised training in working with abuse and trauma. My experience and knowledge allow me to work effectively and safely in this area of counselling.
I offer both short term and long-term counselling. Short-term work is suitable if you wish to work towards a specific goal, for example managing stress or problems at work. Long term counselling is more appropriate for working through issues such as trauma or to address deep seated issues developed early in life that will need space and time to work through.
If you would like to find out more or to arrange an appointment, please feel free to call or email - I will be happy to answer any questions or to arrange an initial meeting. During our first meeting we will discuss what you would like to gain from counselling; it is also an opportunity for you to see if you feel comfortable working with me. After this meeting, if you would like to continue, we will arrange further sessions that are typically held weekly.
Complete the form below with your details and therapy requirements - Angela Briggs will then contact you to discuss making a booking....
