I am an experienced psychotherapist and counsellor working in private practice, having previously worked in the NHS. I also work as a trainer, supervisor and counsellor in a bereavement service so am used to dealing with loss and trauma.
In my experience an important part of therapy is forming a trusting, empathic relationship during the counselling. Then you can face the things that brought you to therapy and start to understand your feelings and behaviour. My role is to help you interpret what has gone on in the past, look at the present, and consider how you might like to change things for the future.
