I am a BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) Accredited Psychodynamic Counsellor. I have worked as a staff counsellor for many years within a large training and counselling organisation gaining a wealth of experience working with adults of all ages from 18 years to those into their retirement.
Psychodynamic therapy focuses on unconscious and conscious processes, sometimes experiences in the past can influence our present behaviour beyond our current awareness, causing difficulties with relationships and other important areas of life.
Outwardly you may appear that you are coping with day to day life but feel that there is something missing? Feeling anxious? Overwhelmed? Constantly over-thinking?
There may be a loss of enjoyment in relationships or just an unexplainable feeling of dread or emptiness?
You may be experiencing relationship issues and have noticed an unhelpful pattern when relating to others, causing you additional stress at work or at home. I provide a supportive, non-judgemental and empathic engagement to try and help you come to your own understanding of those influences and experiences. Once this is in our consciousness we are then able to make life choices that are beneficial for our own wellbeing.
