I work with adults on Wednesdays and Thursdays in the daytime, both in-person and online.
I am a BACP registered member and qualified with a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Practice from Oxford University, combining ethical practice with a robust academic background. Alongside my private practice, I am also a counsellor at a charity and have had prior experience in the third sector with bereavement support, victims of crime, and community counselling.
My approach is gentle and we can start with a conversation at your own pace. I tailor my approach to each client and offer a collaborative space to talk and think together about your difficulties confidentially. By considering how the past is consciously and unconsciously influencing the present, you can develop a better understanding of yourself and others. Identifying the root causes of what is happening for you can help us to work together to find new responses and directions in your life, while acknowledging, celebrating, and sometimes mourning your lived experience.
I have experience working with a wide variety of situations and challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and family dynamics, including sibling conflict, caring responsibilities, parenting and grandparenting. I am experienced in working with neurodivergent clients (with or without a diagnosis) and my practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming. I consider the role of the body and how you relate to it, as well as how it may influence how you move through the world.
Whatever your issues are, do get in touch if you would like to explore working together. I offer a free 20 minute phone call to talk more about what you’re looking for. Ongoing sessions are at the same time on the same day for 50 minutes once a week.
