Life can get pretty tough. You may feel stuck, directionless, and generally dissatisfied. Or you may be struggling with something specific, a difficult situation, anxiety, or circumstances that feel overwhelming and out of control. Likewise, you might be experiencing difficulties in relationships, feel isolated, or struggling with the way you see/feel about yourself in one way or another. Any of these may be a signal that it's time to look beyond yourself to help make sense of your feelings or situation and find some kind of resolution. This is where I may be able to help. I offer Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counselling which draws on a broad base of theoretical models and techniques. However, the founding principle underpinning my practice is that many of the difficulties we experience in the present are rooted in the past. I foster a safe space where we can work through the issues you might want to explore without judgment or expectation. I believe that real and lasting change can be achieved through therapy. It may take some time and it won't always be easy but you can experience relief from personal difficulties, develop a stronger sense of who you are, and find empowerment and fulfillment. I work with: - negative childhood experiences and trauma - shame and self-acceptance - low self-esteem - explorations of identity and sexuality - stress, being overwhelmed or anxious - feeling stuck or directionless - depression - bereavement and loss - anger and resentment - finding a voice and a sense of empowerment I have completed 3 years of diploma level 6 and am currently working towards an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy at the Metanoia Institute. UKCP trainee membership no. 2011183264. I offer face-to-face and remote sessions work with adults age 18+ and am LGBT+ affirmative.
