I am an HCPC Registered Counselling and Occupational (Organisational) Psychologist, Supervisor, an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner, an ACT therapist and have been an independent Chartered psychologist since 2003. I specialise in helping individuals regain their lives after being impacted upon by stress, anxiety, depression, injury or trauma.
I enjoy working using a collaborative approach in a safe, calm environment with adults (over the age of 18) using an integrative and holistic style which draws on a mind/cognitive and body approach. I integrate my training in a variety of approaches to tailor the therapy to suit you. For example using; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) - which includes mindfulness to help clients stabilise and then either Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR); Attachment-Focused EMDR (AF-EMDR) or Sensorimotor psychotherapy (a body/stomatic therapy) to help clients process trauma and developmental/attachment issues. I have also been trained in Rational-Emotive Behaviour therapy (REBT), Mindfulness and CBT and integrate these within a Humanistic framework using what is most appropriate after consultation with yourself. I offer short to medium-term work.
